On November 9, 2015 William B. Idoniboye, was appointed as the Senior Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Information and Communication Technology.
Mr. Idoniboye’s career in the ICT field has been over the last 20 years based in Washington DC. He currently holds the CompTIA Security+, Microsoft MCP, MCSA & MCSE, Cisco CCNA as well as VMware VCA and VCP6 ICT Certifications. He has a wide grasp of ICT knowledge having worked as a local, state and federal employee and later consultant in the USA, including international ICT projects as a team manager or technical lead to various countries such as Afghanistan, Albania, Uganda, Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, Kenya, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Viet Nam, Benin Republic and so forth.
His last corporate position was with Dell Federal Services USA as a Federal Contractor leading the US Government’s Federal Archives Virtualization Initiative in College Park, MD. He has garnered extensive experience in the Information Technology field and has previously worked at the US Department of Agriculture, WellPoint/BCBS, MainOne Cable (Nigeria), USGBC, USAID, Creative Associates International as well as for the District of Columbia Washington DC Government.
Mr. Idoniboye has vast experience in ICT engineering, especially related to his passionate commitment to re-shaping cutting edge technology to fit emerging countries, while promoting the growth of local ICT capacity through training and real knowledge transfer. With his long list of accomplished ICT-driven projects across the globe, and a devoted approach to smart work, he brings to the table a deep understanding of what it takes to get ICT projects done in variable and challenging environments.
